Clarity Counseling
Approach
In our work together, we start by clarifying what’s happening now, then trace it back to the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that shaped it. I use structured sessions with clear goals, maps, and plans—not just weekly check-ins—to understand where your behaviors and systems came from, how they show up today, and what you want your future to look like.
Together, we process unresolved emotions and build your capacity through skills, insight, awareness, and nervous system regulation, so change is both deep and sustainable. While I stay flexible when life happens, there is always a clear center to the work, and any shifts in focus are intentional and balanced with periods of integration.
“Life Can Only Be Understood Backwards,
But It Must Be Lived Forwards.”

Individual Therapy
Each person's story is unique, and therapy should reflect that. Individual counseling offers a personalized approach to understanding your experiences, overcoming obstacles, and building the skills needed to navigate life with greater confidence and purpose. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult season or pursuing personal growth, our work together is designed to help you find clarity, healing, and lasting momentum.

EMDR Therapy
EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain process experiences that continue to shape how we think, feel, and respond to the world. By reducing the emotional impact of unresolved memories, EMDR creates space for healthier beliefs, greater resilience, and lasting change. The goal isn't to forget the past—it's to help it no longer define your present.

You can begin by reaching out through the contact form or email—just a few sentences about what’s bringing you in is enough.
I’ll review your message and, if it feels like a good fit, invite you to schedule an initial intake session. This first session allows us to take the time to understand your situation fully and decide how best to move forward.
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help point you in the right direction.

If something in your life isn’t changing, there’s usually a reason it’s held in place for a long time.
We focus on both what’s happening now and where it comes from—because most reactions, beliefs, and behaviors didn’t start in the present. They were learned, reinforced, and carried forward.
In session, we work with those patterns directly. I will ask direct questions, challenge you when needed, and keep us focused on what actually needs to shift.
This is not just insight—it’s change that impacts you, the people you love and your path forward.

Clarity Counseling operates as a private-pay practice and does not work directly with insurance companies. I do not submit claims, speak with insurance providers, or bill insurance on your behalf.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill for you to submit independently.
Many clients find that this approach allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and a more personalized therapeutic experience.

This practice works best for individuals who are able to engage consistently and take an active role in their care.
Because the work is structured and builds over time, it is most effective for those who can attend regularly and remain engaged between sessions. Sporadic or drop-in participation tends to limit progress and may not be the best fit for this approach.
Clients who are open, reflective, and ready to do the work both in and outside of session tend to see the strongest results.
